About

Brief History

The Branch was formed in 1986 and named The Cushendall branch since, at that time, there was a Glens of Antrim Comhaltas in Carnlough. The name was changed to "Glinnte Aontroma" (Glens of Antrim) in 1999.

What the Branch Does

The Branch organises and delivers music lessons for learners of all ages and abilities.

Every Friday & Sunday there are sessions in the local area for musicians and singers to socialise and practise their tunes in an informal setting.

Comhaltas Glinnte Aontroma is keen to extend its links with the wider community. Trips and functions are organised during the year that provide an opportunity for branch musicians to play together formally and informally outside The Glens of Antrim. Not only do these activities raise the profile of our branch but, on occasion, generates money for charity.
